Introduction

When the idea of establishing a college began to take shape it promised to open up doors to higher learning. The founding members rightly took up the name of Vyasa, the archetype of the Universal man and of men's intellectual attainment for its nomenclature. Thecollege so established came to be known as VYASADEV COLLEGE OF ARTS, SCIENCE & TECHNOLOG which was later changed to VYASANAGAR COLLEGE. The college has lent its name to the town that houses it.The college is ideally located at a distance of 4 kms away from the bus stand and the rail way station. The college was shifted to its present site in the year 1966, after the Puja holiday, when a part of the main building was constructed with the generus confumation of the public on a plot ofland measuring 32 acres.

President's Desk

Vyasanagar autonomous college is one of the premier colleges of the State imparting quality education in the streams of Science, Humanities and Commerce at +2,+3 and Post Graduate level. I am a proud alumnus of this great institution of learning. Many like me have established themselves in various walks of life and contributed to the society in different ways. I would like to see the present generation of students to shine in life by sincerity, hard work and passion for excellence. One should remember that success has no shortcut. To excel in life one must aspire big and prepare vigorously. Even if one does not perform well in academics he or she can prove his or her mettle in extra-curricular activities and build a career as per own choice.
The teachers are the torch-bearers of learning and role models for the students. They should inculcate a sense of discipline and dedication as well as love for learning amongst the students. They have immense responsibility to build the character of the students and make them realise their dreams in life. My best wishes to the teaching and non-teaching staff as well as students of the college. Let’s feel proud of our institution and continue to contribute every day for its betterment.

Principal's Message

It gives me immense pleasure to be the guardian spirit of Vyasanagar Autonomous College having remarkable achievement in the field of academics, culture and dynamism throughout its successful and potential journey from 1966 to the present. I am deeply immersed into the depth of rhythmic love of our budding talents (students), resourceful faculties and hardworking staff. I find myself overjoyed with my sincere duties in this temple of learning and become enthusiastic to render my honest services to it after shouldering the great responsibility as the head of the institution. Our college, being a premier institution of the district of Jajpur, has been providing commendable services to the students’ community by quenching their academic thirst. Our college marches ahead with the capital of its glorious past and the memory of its great architects for a better tomorrow. I only appear as a stepping stone for the fulfilment of the great social commitment in the process of all-round growth of the institution. I implore all students, staff, alumni, local intelligentia to show their sincere endeavour to make it an ideal place of learning.
